Chính phủ "gỡ khó" cho du lịch

The Government agreed with the solutions to overcome difficulties and develop the tourism industry in Vietnam by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the facilitation of visas for tourists to Vietnam; establishing tourism development fund.
At the regular meeting in May, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the ministries, branches and local efforts to promote development of tourism - a key sector of the economy.

Facilitation of visa
According to a report of the Ministry of Culture, the World Tourism Organization has identified five groups of measures to simplify immigration procedures are the nations of the world wide application as follows: Transparency of information; facilitation of procedures, visa application at the border; deals with a number of priority subjects, unilateral visa exemption for several countries; electronic visa (e-visa); implementing regional agreements.

Entry Visa is regarded as one of the policy groups have a strong impact on tourism. Simplification of visa policy is an important measure contributing to boosting trade, investment, exchange and cultural exchange visitors, demonstrating the level of integration of a destination country.
So far, in the world, Thailand has exempted visas for citizens of 61 countries and territories (unilateral visa exemption for 49 countries), Malaysia exemption for 155 countries (82 countries unilaterally exempt), Laos apply e-visa and visa gate for 150 countries (as long unilateral 10 countries).
Japan, from May 7/2013, were exempt from visa for guests Thailand, Malaysia, extend visa and guest visas repeatedly for Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam. Thus, in 2014 the number of tourists to Japan from Thailand increased by 45.5%, from Malaysia increased by 41%, the Philippines increased 70% and from Vietnam increased by 47% over the previous year.
Vietnam is unilateral visa waiver for 7 countries (Japan, Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia), based on the visa waiver reciprocity with 9 ASEAN countries.
